Information and facts
The Qibla is the direction that Muslims face when performing their prayers (Salah). It is towards the Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Facing the Qibla is one of the essential conditions for the validity of prayer in Islam.
Our Qibla calculator uses advanced spherical trigonometry to provide accurate results for any location on Earth. The calculation considers the Earth's curvature and uses the great circle distance method.
Once you have the Qibla direction, use a compass (physical or smartphone app) to align yourself. The direction is given in degrees from North (0°). For example, if the Qibla is 58° Northeast, turn 58° clockwise from North.
